Goddess of an Old Village

I photographed this woman in a small village outside Anjous' Nicholas. I had never seen someone walking a goat and I was enamored by her diligence and patience. I wasn't sure if she was keeping pace with the goat or visa versa. The buildings were all in great need of repair, and at first sight I wasn't sure if the village was even inhabited. I watched her as she moved with her goat for nearly 15 minutes. She was the only one I saw until I began back down the hill, passing several giggling children. Were they laughing at me, perhaps?
